With the 'Frosty Toes Road Race' this past weekend, 2009 bike racing is underway!
I am currently a Cat 4 USCF racer with plans to move up to Cat 3 early this season. My first race should be mid-Ohio, but I know I will not have quite enough training by then. I really hope the legs are ready for some good action at RATL this year.
It'll be an interesting test to see if my mix of bike and Crossfit training helps in anyway. Crossfit does not focus or specialize in any one area, so it could have some drawbacks. I do think that it should help for sprints and short, intense efforts.
