General thoughts

I do need to say that I am thankful that I can post stuff that is so non-critical or serious. I've read some recent blogs lately that make me almost feel bad about posting how a workout went, or what I added to the swingset, or a recap of a recent race. I'm lucky that that is what is on my plate at the moment.

Most of these blogs that come to mind are ones that I've found in some way or form through cycling stories and most seem tied to Lance's Livestrong foundation in some way. The most inspirational and heart wrenching is the story of Pablo Castelaz who recently passed away at the age of 6. His dad maintains a very well written blog and he shares a good amount of the experiences, emotions, and feelings that he has gone through before and after his son's passing.

Helps keep perspective on what real concerns and stresses are. The following video really highlights that Livestrong is not just a fund raising effort. It seems to be a roadmap, a light for a path in the dark that these families really need.
